Col Jai Prakash Janu

Col Jai Prakash Janu, an alumnus of Sainik School Chittorgarh, embodied the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism nurtured by the institution. Born on January 22, 1955, he joined the school in 1966, where his foundation for a distinguished military career was laid. Commissioned into the Bihar Regiment in 1976, he served in challenging terrains like Ladakh and Siachen. On March 1, 2001, while leading his troops in Anantnag, J&K, he faced a militant ambush. Despite severe injuries, he valiantly fought till his last breath, exemplifying the indomitable spirit fostered by Sainik School Chittorgarh.

Maj Alok Mathur, SM

Born on September 14, 1969, Major Alok Mathur hailed from a military family and found his foundation for a distinguished career at Sainik School Chittorgarh. His journey from the prestigious school to the NDA and Indian Military Academy culminated in his commissioning into the Corps of Engineers in 1990. Known for his courage and leadership, Maj Mathur led his troops in challenging terrains, including Arunachal Pradesh, where he faced a militant ambush on October 7, 2003. Despite severe injuries, he fought valiantly, sacrificing his life for the nation. Awarded the Sena Medal, his legacy reflects the ethos of Sainik School Chittorgarh.

Maj Natwar Singh Shaktawat, SM

Hailing from Rajasthan, Major Natwar Singh Shaktawat exemplified valor and dedication. His journey to the Indian Army began at Sainik School Chittorgarh, where he excelled academically and in sports, embodying discipline and courage. After graduating from the National Defence Academy, he joined the Indian Army and served with distinction in challenging terrains. Capt Ummed Singh, SM

Born on January 22, 1968, in Pali, Rajasthan, Captain Ummed Singh Rathore began his journey at Sainik School Chittorgarh, where he developed the discipline and values that defined his military career. After excelling at the NDA and IMA, he was commissioned into the 21 Sikh Regiment in 1992. Known for his bravery, he earned the Sena Medal for his valor during an anti-terrorist operation in J&K. Tragically, on December 8, 1994, he was martyred in a Drass avalanche while serving in extreme conditions. His legacy continues to inspire, especially at Sainik School Chittorgarh, where his story embodies courage and sacrifice.

Sqn Ldr Prashant Bundela, VM

Squadron Leader Prashant Bundela, a distinguished fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force, was as alumni of Sainik School Chittorgarh, where he developed his passion for serving the nation. Bundela earned the Vayusena Medal (VM) for his bravery during the Kargil conflict in 1999, where he successfully downed a Pakistani reconnaissance aircraft. His exemplary courage was a testament to the training he received, which was further honed at prestigious institutions like the NDA. Tragically, he passed away in 2002 due to injuries sustained in a MiG-21 crash. His legacy continues to inspire future generations of soldiers.

Assistant Commandant Krishan Kumar Yadav, hailing from a patriotic family, completed his early education at Sainik School Chittorgarh, where his leadership qualities were nurtured. Later, he joined the Border Security Force (BSF) as Assistant Comdt, where he displayed remarkable courage and tactical expertise.
